when you shout, they shout. when they shout, you listen.
when we talk, they find us nosey. when they nag, it's for our own good.
when you complain, they don't care. when they complain, you HAVE TO care.
when you praise, they think you're up to something. when they praise, they expect more from you.
when you buy stuff, they think you're wasting money. when they buy stuff, it's the bestest thing in the world and you've got to like it.
when you fall sick, the relatives don't give a damn. when they fall sick, you get a scolding for no good reason.
when you don't eat, they scold. when they don't eat, you'd be cursing the mountain on your plate. when you watch tv. they say you're not studying enough. when they watch tv, they say they're taking a break.
when you're not home, take MY advice, start preparing your excuses!

try not to abuse your authority because when i grow up, i'll realize. it also gives me the impression that wrongful conduct only applies when i'm caught.

well, not referring to my parents NOW. but this was what they used to do. lol
